Snježana Vračar Mihelač
Snježana Vračar Mihelač was born in Pula. She writes poetry and feature articles and translates from Slovenian into Croatian. Her work has been published in anthologies, literary magazines, and online portals, including LUD Literatura, Ekran, Enklava, Fantom slobode, Ajfelov most, Strane, The Split Mind, Koraci, Književni elementi, Afirmator, Život, Astronaut, Paralele, Libartes, ARS, Balkanski književni glasnik, Odvalimo SE Poezijom, Čitajmi, Čovjek-Časopis, Vrabec Anarhist, Monstruma, and others.
Her poems have appeared in the following anthologies: Signali u noći (PPM Enklava, Belgrade, 2024), the trilingual poetry anthology ZaNa III (Dhemetra Foundation, Mitrovica, 2023), Tanane revolucije (Kontrast Publishing, Belgrade, 2023), Susret riječi (Bedekovčina, 2020, 2023), Beseda upora (NON-GRUPA, Ljubljana, 2022), and Biće bolje – Bo že (Danilo Kiš Cultural Center, Ljubljana, 2019).
The manuscript Kad zatvorim oči vidim modro (When I Close My Eyes, I See Blue) won the 2022 competition for the best poetry collection, organized by the Presing - the Society for the Affirmation of Culture (Serbia), and it was subsequently published as her literary debut.
The poetry by Snježana Vračar Mihelač has been translated into Slovenian, English, Albanian, and Macedonian. She lives and creates in Ljubljana.
